Governor Lenku condoles with family of fallen sacco founder

Late Mzee Zablon Nyakeruma, he was the founder of Obomo Sacco

Kajiado County Governor, Joseph ole Lenku, has condoled with the families of Obomo Sacco, a savings and credit cooperative that was founded by Mzee Zablon Nyakeruma who passed on last week.

Governor Lenku said Mzee Nyakeruma was not just a pioneer but a visionary leader who left an indelible mark in Kajiado County. He said the late Mzee Nyakeruma championed unity, economic empowerment and progress of his people.

The governor also revealed that the late supported him during his political career as Kajiado County governor.

“Since 2015, Mzee Nyakeruma stood by me as a friend and advisor during my governorship journey. He introduced me to the Kisii family in Kajiado and the larger Western and Nyanza communities, strengthening bonds that continue to thrive today,” he said.

He noted that the late Mzee Nyakeruma over the years, remained a reliable pillar, always willing to guide and shares his wisdom on political and social matters.

Nyakeruma will be remembered as a trailblazer, a development-oriented leader, and a man who always put people first. His legacy of selflessness and dedication will forever inspire people.
