Govt launches ‘Finya Computer Itoe Dollar’ training programme for youths

The Government through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has rolled out a free training programme dubbed ‘Finya Computer Itoe Dollar’ under the Ajira digital programme through the State Department for Labour and Skills Development.

The Ministry has noted that the main aim of the training programme is to equip young people with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitude for digital or online work to enable them access decent work and earn an income from the Gig and Freelance Economy.

The free online training programme will cover Basic Module covering Data Entry, Digital Marketing, and Virtual Assistance; while the Advance Module will cover Artificial intelligence (AI) for Graphic Design.

In a poster placed on the Ministry’s official X account formerly twitter, the ‘Itoe Dollar’ training programme will be conducted between 8:00 am. in the morning to 5:00 pm. in the evening from March 4, 2024 to March 8, 2024.

Those who will be eligible for the free online training programme are youths aged between 18-35 years and are required to be Kenyan Citizens and also Proficient in Computer Skills.
