IG sacco rolls out 2026 members education program in four centres

The Kakamega based Invest and Grow, IG SACCO has rolled out 2026 Members’ Education Program, a financial literacy initiative targeting members across four branches in Western Kenya.

According to a notice issued by the Sacco, the program will take place on Saturday, January 17, beginning at 10 a.m, with parallel sessions scheduled in Matete, Mumias, Kabras South and Vihiga.

The designated venues include Maturu Friends Church in Matete, Mumias Cultural Centre, Kakunga S.A Church in Kabras South, and Vihiga Friends Church.

According to the Sacco, the education forums are aimed at equipping members with practical knowledge on savings, investment and effective financial management, as it seeks to strengthen member participation and long-term financial sustainability.

In its communication, IG SACCO emphasized that the initiative underscores its commitment to empowering members through information and skills that enhance informed decision-making.

The program is expected to cover key areas such as Sacco products and services, responsible borrowing, investment opportunities and strategies for personal financial growth.

Officials noted that member education remains a cornerstone of the Sacco’s development agenda, as informed members contribute to the overall stability and growth of the cooperative movement.

The 2026 Members’ Education Program marks the start of a series of engagements planned throughout the year, aimed at deepening financial inclusion and reinforcing a culture of saving and investment among members.

Members have been encouraged to attend the sessions in large numbers to benefit from the training and to engage directly with Sacco officials on matters affecting their financial wellbeing
