Nanyuki brewers Sacco to be revitalised

A Credit Co-Operative Society which was formed by brewers of illicit liquor in Likii slums of Nanyuki is set to benefit from the County Government.
The Sacco is on its knees after many of its members defaulted paying their dues following the crackdown on illicit brews and second generation alcohol in the country.
Addressing the members at Likii village recently, Governor Joshua Irungu assured them that the Government will ensure they are supported.
“The County Government has passed a law seeking to establish a revolving fund to uplift Saccos. Your Sacco will be one of those that will be supported for the benefit of members,” he said when he spoke to Sacco Review recently.
