Solution Sacco’s CSR sponsors 60 needy students

Solution Sacco, through its Corporate Social Responsibility, has fully sponsored more than 60 bright but needy students in Meru County.

The students, who scored 350 marks and above in last year’s KCPE exams, also received Mathematical sets, Bibles, metal boxes and other school necessities.

Solution Sacco Chairman Francis Murithi said as a Sacco they are focused on ensuring learners from poor backgrounds do not miss a chance of continuing their education due to lack of school fees or learning equipment.

“We’re committed to ensuring that no child misses high school education due to lack of school fees. We are doing all we can to ensure we sponsor as many children as possible,” he said.

He said the Sacco will track the beneficiaries’ performance hence they should take advantage of the sponsorship opportunity by working hard in their studies.

Speaking during the event, Keziah Muguro, Meru TSC Deputy County Director, urged students to focus on their education and desist from engaging in activities that might disrupt their studies.

She also urged them to not be discouraged by their backgrounds.

“Your background should not deter you from achieving your academic dreams,’ she said, adding that education is an equalizer hence they should put more efforts in their studies.

Parents who were present at the event echoed the sentiments of other speakers and urged all beneficiaries to focus on education for prosperity.
