StanChart said it will raise its dividend by 31.8 per cent to KSh29 a share compared to 15 per cent representing KSh16 per share it had paid in 2022.
In December, the lender had paid a KSh6 a share interim dividend, and now it has increased the final payout to KSh23 per share from KSh16 paid a year earlier.
The total dividend payout amounts to KSh10.96 billion net profit compared with KSh8.31 billion that had been paid on the 2022 net earnings.

StanChart net profit increased to KSh13.8 billion from KSh12.1 billion recorded in the preceding similar period.
The Bank recorded a 32 per cent increase in net interest income to KSh29.3 billion on increased lending.
Also, non-interest income moved upwards six per cent to KSh12.4 billion to increase the operating income.
In its outlook for 2024, the lender said it expects revenue growth for the year.
