Unaitas Sacco has integrated its services with the Integrated Payment Services Ltd’s (IPSL) platform to enhance its services through a digital transformation.
According to the Sacco, the partnership will allows Unaitas to conduct real-time payments, simplifying transactions for its members.
“Pesalink now serves as the default instant-payment channel on Unaitas platforms, more than 400,000 members get continuous, 24/7 access to their funds,” said the two firms in a joint statement.
“This is not just a technology launch; it’s a celebration of partnership, progress, and proof,” added IPSLCEO Gituku Kirika.
According to industry figures, Saccos in the country have over 14 million members and hold more than Ksh800 billion in deposits.
With digitization transformation knocking on the doors of credit taking institution, the paradigm shift is quickly taking shape, changing how Saccos nowadays operate.
