More than 30 women small business entrepreneurs in Embu County were recently trained on skills to improve and manage businesses.
The women, including five people with disabilities and five youths drawn from all wards in the county, had already undergone a one-week intensive training conducted by the County Government in partnership with Growth Oriented Women Enterprises (GOWE).
County Gender Executive Member Pamela Kiarie said over 380 women involved in micro-businesses in the County will benefit from the African Development Bank Funded training on how generate wealth through their small businesses by 2017.
Speaking while awarding entrepreneurs with certificates, Kiarie said they carefully handpicked the women to be trained to ensure they got the right people who will then be expected to train others.
