Kericho Biashara Sacco Society Limited recently celebrated its first year of existence with pride following the significant growth achieved in the highly competitive field.
The Sacco draws its membership from smallholder traders of MSMEs within the region and offers financial and business training, savings mobilization, and loans to member groups.
According to Josephat Koech, the Sacco has so far recruited 94 members who are MSMEs traders and has developed credit policies.
It is in the process of developing marketing and human resources policies to hire marketing staff at the ward level.
The Sacco is committed to building the capacity of its members by organizing capacity-building sessions to enable them to understand business dynamics, and incorporate the use of technology into their businesses.
The Sacco’s five-year Strategic Plan 2022-2027 seeks to increase membership to 4500 and buy a plot to establish their head offices.
