Kilifi North Sub-county in Kilifi County has registered five new cooperative societies, Sacco Review has learnt.
Kilifi North Sub-county cooperative officer, Julius Mwamuye told Sacco Review in Kilifi town recently that one dormant cooperative society, Kilifi Riders Sacco has been revived.
He further said that two dormant cooperative societies in the sub-county have been set for revival.

“There are 79 registered cooperative societies in Kilifi North Sub-county”, he noted.
Out of the 79 registered cooperative societies in the area, 47 cooperatives are active, while the rest are dormant.
He said the cooperative development ministry will sensitize cooperatives on education, training and information on the cooperative model to enable them operate effectively.
