Postal Corporation of Kenya Unveils Ambitious Plan to Revitalize Postal Services

The Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) has embarked on a journey to revitalize its operations across the country.

The chairperson of the Postal Corporation of Kenya Rose Nyamunga revealed that the government has started to deliver medicine using postal services.

“Posta is delivering medical-related supplies to medical facilities. This includes scaling up citizen access to essentials such as mosquito nets in collaboration with Kenya medical supplies agency” she said.

Nyamunga revealed that the contract between Kenya medical supplies agency and PCK is about Sh295 million moving forward.

Speaking in Kisumu, Nyamunga said the corporation will also revamp its cash transfer system which collapsed many years ago.

Under the new system, she said, parcels will be delivered to the doorstep of clients.

She said the arrangement known as the last mile is one of the reforms currently being undertaken by the state corporation.

The chairperson said postal boxes will also be revived across the country.

In the last Financial Year 2022-23 PCK achieved a Sh600 million for logistics services offered to the Government.
