- New KPCU led brokers by volume, while Meru County Coffee Marketing Agency posted the highest average price. Ngugu ini AA topped the sale at USD 410 per 50kg.
- C.Dormans SEZ Ltd was the largest buyer, accounting for 42% of the sale value.
The Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE) sale 34 sold 18,089 bags of coffee on August 4, 2026, grossing Ksh 994 million for the season’s first sale since the June break.
Buyers moved 18,089 bags weighing 1,115,430 kg (1,115 tonnes) of green coffee. The sale grossed USD 7,682,983, roughly Ksh 994 million.
The average price for the day was USD 344 per 50kg bag, or USD 6.89 per kg of clean coffee, about Ksh 891 per kg. At the standard 6.5:1 cherry to green bean outturn ratio, that works out to roughly Ksh 137 per kg of cherry at the factory weighing shed, before marketing, milling and brokerage deductions.
Fifteen brokers presented coffee at the sale. New KPCU led on volume with 4,907 bags (300,835 kg) worth USD 2.07 million, averaging USD 344 per 50kg. Alliance Berries moved 4,000 bags (247,966 kg) at a higher average of USD 364. Meru County Coffee Marketing Agency posted the day’s best broker average at USD 375 across 1,288 bags.
Other brokers included Coffee Estates Bourgeoisie Brokers (2,140 bags, USD 312), Kirinyaga Slopes Coffee Brokerage (1,726 bags, USD 345), United Eastern Kenya (802 bags, USD 353), Kinya Coffee Marketing (638 bags, USD 277), KCCE Marketing (486 bags, USD 326), Kipkelion Broker Company (454 bags, USD 347), Ahadi Coffee (424 bags, USD 349), Murang’a County Coffee Dealers (354 bags, USD 354), Mt. Elgon (326 bags, USD 350), Caffora (229 bags, USD 345), Minnesota Coffee Marketers (218 bags, USD 303) and Nandi Coffee Co-operative Union (97 bags, USD 334).

On the buying side, C.Dormans SEZ Ltd took the largest share, purchasing 425,021 kg (38% of volume) worth USD 3.19 million, or 42% of the sale’s value. Ibero Kenya Ltd followed with 234,404 kg worth USD 1.61 million (21% of value), while Kenyacof Limited claimed 130,602 kg worth USD 867,256 (11%). Louis Dreyfus Company took 5% (USD 406,491), Mumbi Coffee Merchants 4% (USD 292,932) and Taylor Winch (Coffee) Limited 4% (USD 270,265). Together, the top six buyers absorbed 87% of the sale’s value.
Clean AA and AB lots from Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Embu and Meru fetched USD 380 to 410 per 50kg, with Kirinyaga’s Ngugu ini AA topping the sale at USD 410. Mbuni and low grade lots traded between USD 100 and 250.
