Wananchi DT Sacco Society Ltd has invited applications from qualified Kenyan citizens for the position of business development and marketing manager to head its marketing docket, as the Sacco pursues growth in a competitive market.
The Sacco, based in Othaya, is seeking a candidate aged between 25 and 45 years holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree in marketing. Applicants must also be registered with the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) and in good standing with the professional body.
The successful candidate should have at least three years of experience in sales and marketing, business development, brand management or relationship management at a managerial level, with demonstrated leadership and team-building skills. Candidates with a background in the banking sector will have an added advantage.
Beyond academic and professional qualifications, the Sacco is looking for a dynamic, energetic and optimistic individual able to work within a fast-changing environment and demonstrate sound knowledge of managerial marketing. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to motivate and supervise personnel, are also required.

Core technical skills sought include search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, content creation, social media management and data analytics using modern artificial intelligence (AI) tools to track and improve marketing campaigns. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and digital and video marketing skills are also required, alongside sound decision-making, communication and customer service abilities.
The role’s primary function will be to understand the marketing and business environment at both micro and macro levels, driving marketing, selling and cross-selling of the Sacco’s products and services while implementing broad strategic marketing plans.
