Boresha Sacco has held celebrations to mark its golden jubilee, closing out 50 years of service in the South Rift region.
The Deposit-Taking Sacco, headquartered in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, used the occasion to reflect on its journey and set out priorities for the years ahead.
The golden jubilee comes as a significant marker for the Sacco, whose story stretches back to a small group of founding members with a modest pooled contribution. Reaching 50 years places Boresha Sacco among a handful of Kenyan Saccos to hit the milestone, a distinction its leadership highlighted during the celebrations.

Sacco officials used the event to trace the institution’s path from its early years to its current standing as a Tier-One Deposit-Taking Sacco, framing the anniversary as both a celebration and a checkpoint for renewed commitment to members.
As it enters its sixth decade, Boresha Sacco’s management says it will prioritise digital transformation, tailored agricultural financing, and stronger governance structures.
These priorities are intended to sustain the Sacco’s growth while deepening its role in community empowerment across the counties it serves.
