Co-operative University of Kenya to hold 8th graduation ceremony on Dec 1

The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) has announced that its 8th Graduation Ceremony will be held on December 1, 2023, at the main campus in Karen, Nairobi.

According to the Registrar of Academic Affairs, David Boge Otiende, the graduands will be students who have fulfilled the requirements for the conferment of degrees and award of diplomas and certificates during the 2022 – 2023 academic year.

The students who successfully completed their studies in the said year and those from previous academic years who had not graduated have been asked to confirm their appearance on the graduation list.

Those who have not applied are reminded to apply for the graduation through the student portal.

The university has also announced that each of those graduating will receive two invitation cards for their guests adding that those who will not have the cards will not be allowed into the graduation square.

CUK started with only 40 students in 1967 as the Co-operative College of Kenya at the location presently occupied by Daystar University near Kenyatta National Hospital.

It then became the Co-operative University College of Kenya, a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) that offered Diplomas and Certificates until 2005.

In September 2012, the college admitted the first group under the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) for the Bachelor of Co-operative Business and the Bachelor of Commerce degrees.
