Members of Drumvalle Farmers Cooperative Society in Kangundo and Matungulu have appealed to President William Ruto to intervene in a protracted land dispute, accusing a court‑appointed liquidator of defying orders for more than a decade and withholding critical documents tied to the society’s assets.

Drumvalle Chairman Felix Maingi said the cooperative has suffered heavy losses as the liquidator allegedly ignored directives to stop interfering with member property and to surrender records and assets back to the society.

“The value of our land is KSh700 million, and we took the valuation to court and asked for surrender of the property because the land belongs to us, but to date, more than ten years the liquidator has not done so,” Mr Maingi told members during a Friday meeting near Tala town in Matungulu Sub‑county

Mr Maingi claimed the liquidator remains in possession of vital records, including the plot allocation register for parcels in Nairobi, contrary to court orders.

Maingi questioned why the directives have not been enforced, saying no one should be allowed to act with impunity. “Do we have people who are above the law in Kenya? Even the President knows that court orders are meant to be followed,” he said.

According to Maingi, a recent court order issued on November 28, 2025, directed the liquidator to return the property to members. The liquidator was given up to 28th January 2026, to surrender all property back to members
