Mr. Rotich said that he was fufilling his campaign pledge under the Huduma Mashinani programme where he plans to improve the cooperative movement in the county.

“In line with my campaign pledge under Huduma Mashinani program and to improve cooperative movement in the county, I have today ordered the immediate re-deployment of 20 co-operative officers to the Wards,” he said.

The officers have been tasked with training members of the public in the ward on co-operative development and help enlist them in new cooperatives.

They will also revive dormant ones in readiness of the President’s Hustler Fund to be released on 1st  December 2022.

The officers are also expected to reside at the ward for easy reach by members of the public.

Once revived, the respective co-operatives will also be positioned to benefit from other National Government programs like fertilizer and seed subsidy, donor and county government programmes.
