The Kenya Bankers Sacco has officially opened a fully- fledged branch in Kisumu town to ensure ease of business and access to services for its members drawn from Nyanza and the larger Western regions.
National Chairperson Vincent Chisaka said the new branch marks a serious turning point for the society since it will ensure efficient and viable services including improving the quality of their output to the members.
Kisumu CECM for Co-operatives Farida Salim, who was the Chief Guest during the ceremony, lauded the Sacco for the development which will spur the economic outlook of the region.
“As a County, we are looking forward to forging partnerships and collaborations with the Sacco to ensure that together the “Kisumu My Pride” journey is achieved,” she said.
The Kenya Bankers Sacco has achieved a growth of Ksh9.56 billion in assets as it disbursed Ksh436 million in dividends in 2022 compared to Ksh236 million in the previous year.
Dividends was paid out to members at 10 per cent.
