Gucokaniriria Kihato Traders and Farmers Company Limited has undergone a major leadership shake-up after a Court-supervised Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 10th August 2023 elected new directors and struck out several long-serving officials.
The Registrar of Companies has confirmed the registration of Jonah Mwangi Ichoya, Maina Nderitu Muthui, Susan Wanjiku Kamau, Peter Kiarie Kamau, Paul Ronald Indegwa Thige, Josphat Njoroge Mathu, and the late David Gitome Kuhiguka as the new directors.
The restructuring saw the exit of former directors Samuel Mbugua Njuguna, Joseph Nderitu Muthui, Joseph Gathura Muhia, Sospeter Mwithiga Gathui, John Ndiritu Mathelgee, Harun Ndirangu Gachoka, and Stephen Ndicho, who the company said no longer have authority to transact business on its behalf.

In a cautionary statement, the company warned the public, shareholders, and partners against engaging in any share dealings or transactions with the former directors, stressing that such engagements will be at the risk of those involved.
The announcement marks a significant transition for the Nairobi-based farming and general merchants’ firm, which has urged stakeholders to channel all official dealings exclusively through the newly recognized board.
