Limuru Tea PLC has appointed Leila Chebet as its new company secretary, effective October 8, 2026. The board announced the change in a public notice, issued under the Capital Markets (Public Offers, Listings and Disclosures) Regulations, 2023.
Chebet takes over from Janet Akoth Ocholla, who resigned from the role on September 24, 2026. Ocholla had held the position since April 2026, meaning her stint lasted about five months. The board accepted her resignation and thanked her for what it described as diligent service. It also wished her well in her future plans.
In welcoming the new appointee, directors congratulated Chebet and said they were glad to have her on board. The notice was signed by board chair Dorcas Muli.
