The Meru County government is committed to empowering traders and farmers by creating and improving infrastructures in places they operate from.
This was revealed by Trade and Cooperatives CECM Rev. Carol Kaberia, who noted that the county government has remained committed to empowering traders and farmers by improving market infrastructure and creating better trading environments.
She commended the significant progress made in ensuring that Meru residents access reliable and well-structured markets.
“The county government is committed to empowering traders and farmers by creating and improving infrastructures in places they operate from. We have always remained committed to empowering traders and farmers by improving market infrastructure and creating better trading environments for them,” said Rev. Kaberia.
Rev. Kaberia lauded the harmonious working relationship between the county and the national governments, saying it has played a key role in facilitating major market development projects across Meru.

She added that such collaborations have attracted more investment and opened up new opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
“I urge the residents to take advantage of the improved market facilities to boost their businesses and livelihoods. The County is focused on strengthening cooperative societies and supporting small enterprises which are central to achieving sustainable economic growth,” said Rev. Kaberia.
She reiterated the county’s commitment to continue supporting market expansion initiatives and promoting value addition for locally produced goods in order to enhance competitiveness both regionally and nationally.
