Murang’a County Government has rolled out digital maize seed distribution to fast-track distribution of certified seedlings and farm inputs to 175,000 registered maize farmers.
This follows the successful Christmas and New Year gifts pilot, where 350 shops reached 150,000 residents across nine sub-counties.
Governor Irungu Kang’ata, speaking during the event, said the digital platform simplifies and reduces the cost of distributing inputs. “The system proved successful,” he said.
