Komarock bus park is yet to be functional four years after Komarock Housing Society handed it over to the Machakos county government.

The society chairman Benard Maembe expressed worry that the sh 50m bus park is wearing off when it could solve transport problems facing the area.

Maembe told Sacco review that the government needs to look into the issue of opening it since it will create job opportunities.

“The terminus was constructed in 2019 and launched by the former governor Alfred Mutua. However, it has not been operational, some of the paintings and decorations are wearing off,” he said.

He said a lot of money was used to put it up and it should be put into use, “let all the vehicles picking passengers on the road be directed to carry from the terminus as this will reduce congestion and accidents,” he added.

The modern terminus has a capacity of accommodating of 50 public service vehicles at one time, it can host several shops, it also has a borehole which can produce 20,000 cubic meters of water, ablution blocks and shades.
