Nyasomo Sacco members now ‘troop’ back home

Members of Nyasomo Sacco in Nyahururu who were lured to join new financial institutions opening up branches in the town are now trooping back home.
The Sacco whose majority members are subordinate staff in secondary and primary schools had lost members to new competitors coming in the town.
“This was a big challenge to us that had destabilized our operations,” said Mary Wanjiru (pictured), the acting Sacco manager. The saying all that glitters is not gold turned bitter truth to the members who realized promises made were only marketing stunts.
“Most have realized home is always the best, they are coming back to where their needs are met appropriately,” she said.
The Sacco has streamlined its operations to better service delivery and win members confidence back.
