Reli Regulated NWDT Sacco has announced a vacancy for an Internal Auditor, inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply before the January 22, 2026 deadline.
In a notice released under its current openings, the Sacco said it is seeking an individual who will play a key role in auditing operations, analysing financial data, and supporting sound lending and investment decisions. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, report writing competence, analytical capacity, and computer literacy.
According to Reli Sacco, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). Candidates should also have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in Sacco operations, be members of ICPAK or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and have working knowledge of the Microsoft Navision system.
The Internal Auditor’s responsibilities will include reviewing and verifying the Sacco’s financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS, and the SACCO Societies Act, as well as auditing credit processes to confirm adherence to established procedures. The role will also involve reviewing fixed assets to ensure they are safeguarded, properly valued, and in good physical condition.

Other key duties include evaluating Sacco investments to ensure compliance with investment policies and prudential standards, auditing internal controls, assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of resource utilisation, and developing annual audit plans. The auditor will also be responsible for risk assessment and management, maintaining the Sacco’s risk register, and monitoring compliance with policies, statutory requirements, and regulations.
Reli Sacco further noted that the position will require analysing accounting systems to ensure proper segregation of duties, developing and maintaining an audit manual, reviewing automated audit work papers, and participating in the preparation and implementation of the Sacco’s strategic plan.
The Internal Auditor will be expected to prepare and present clear and timely audit reports to management and the supervisory committee, hold discussions with section heads during audits, and provide technical and secretarial support to the supervisory committee in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer.
