Ruto honours pledge to buy TukTuk for Hustler Fund top borrower

Harrison Kenga, a TukTuk operator based in Mombasa, was recently awarded a new Piaggio machine by President William Ruto.

During the fund’s first anniversary, Kenga was named the top borrower of the Hustler Fund, having taken a loan of Ksh714, 000 so far.

The President promised to buy him a TukTuk.

Kenga started with a loan limit of Ksh800 and steadily grew his borrowing until his limit to Ksh50, 000.

In an event held at Mombasa, Kenga received the keys to the new machine from Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui.

Chelugui praised Kenga’s ability to effectively utilize the fund and encouraged other Kenyans to emulate him.

He also highlighted the President’s support for entrepreneurship and small businesses.
