Stima Sacco honoured with two prestigious awards at Cooperative Insurance Society AGM

Stima Sacco National Treasurer, CPA Mary Maalu displays trophies.

Stima DT Sacco has been awarded the Winner in the Highest Shareholding Category Parastatal and the first Runners Up as the Best Insured Cooperative Society – Nairobi Region, at the Cooperative Insurance Society (CIS) Annual General Meeting 2024 held recently.

The trophies were received by Sacco’s National Treasurer, CPA Mary Maalu.

The event was held at Edge Convention Centre located at South C, Nairobi.

Annually, CIC Group honours its co-operative members from all regions for their support.

Stima Sacco was established in 1974 to serve employees of the then, East Africa Power and Lighting Company. Since then, it has grown its membership to people working in various sectors and business groups. Towards the end of 2023, the Sacco had a total membership of 200,145 members and an asset base worth KSh59.15 billion. It also collected earnings of KSh1.4 billion last year.

First Runners Up as the Best Insured Cooperative Society – Nairobi Region,

Since its inception, it has hired over 30,000 employees and currently has nine branches in several counties with its head office located at Stima Sacco Plaza along Mushembi road in Parklands, Nairobi County. Its current CEO is Dr Gamaliel Hassan.

Stima provide its members with a safe place for savings, offers affordable credit, and return with impressive dividends. Its members also enjoy low-interest loans.
