Yetu DT Sacco has notified all members of a Special General Meeting (SGM) which will be held on December 1, 2023 at Yetu Pamoja Investment Park.
In a post signed by Chairman Mark Gitonga, all delegates will be required to be at the venue by 9:00 am where the agenda of the meeting will be communicated.
“The Chairman of Yetu DT Sacco Society wishes to notify all the Sacco members that there will be a Special General Meeting on December 1 at 9:00 am,” the post read.
SGMs are usually convened to handle emergency issues that were not addressed in the Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) and that cannot wait for the next meeting.
The Sacco’s AGM was held on January 25, 2023 at the same venue where the meeting was open to all registered members who received dividends.
According to the Cooperative Societies Act, meetings should be held within four months after the end of each financial year to provide a platform for members to review their progress and deliberate on the future.
It further states that a special general meeting shall be held when convened by the managing committee, the commissioner, or his representative, or within 14 days of receiving a written request from at least two-thirds of the members.
