Boda boda riders in Kakamega North Sub-County are a happy lot after being promised training and licensing on successful completion of their course.
National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) together with Automobile Association plan to train and help those who will complete their driving courses to get licenseces.
Over Sh2.1 million has been set aside by the Malava NG-CDF and will benefit the first batch of 300 riders. The riders will be trained on how to observe and apply the needed traffic rules that will see them being certified as qualified drivers.
Area MP Malulu Injendi hinted at registration of a Sacco to help empower and drive the industry.
