KTS, formerly Kitui Teachers Sacco, has invited suitable local constructors for the construction of an office block on plot number LR KYANGWITHYA/TUNGUTU/3892.
The minimum and mandatory qualifications include possession of a pre-qualification document, incorporation or registration certificate, valid tax compliance certificate and a recent copy of CR 12.
Current registration with the national construction authority , a proof of work of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in last five years is also required.
Through a tender notice, the Sacco has stated that interested bidders must have adequate equipment for type of work and company profile with adequate trained personnel for type of work with their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) attached.
Audited accounts for the last three years are to be attached as proof of sound financial standing, a proof of access to credit lines from banks and a litigation history both court and arbitration cases.

“Interested bidders should submit their completed tender document in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked KTS/3892/2023 and address to the chairman, KTS Sacco,” read part of the tender notice.
The tender document must be deposited in the tender box at KTS Sacco headquarters in Kitui town so as to be received on or before September 28, 2023 at 12 noon.
With an asset base of more than Ksh7.68 billion, KTS is one of the largest Saccos in Kenya. It has been in operation since 1976.
Its initial membership was restricted to teachers until 2008 when they changed their bylaws to absorb members from other government ministries and organizations.
