Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) in partnership with Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) through the Investing in Young Businesses in Africa (IYBA-SEED) project has conducted the third phase of the Business Policy Awareness Forums.
The forum engaged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nakuru County on key policy issues, including the MSME Policy, the proposed Amendment Bill 2025, and the various entrepreneurship support opportunities available in the region.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to build awareness, strengthen policy uptake, and promote formalization and long-term business resilience.
More than 80 participants attended the event, representing diverse sectors such as Jua Kali, retail, hairdressing, and agriculture.

The forum marked a significant step in strengthening the connection between policy and practice, ensuring that MSMEs are not only informed but also empowered to thrive within an enabling business environment
SNV had signed a strategic two-year partnership aiming to empower young businesses, particularly those owned by women and youth across the MSME sector.

The collaboration is set to drive sustainable economic growth through targeted, impactful initiatives.
The non-profit international development organization supports MSEA in two critical areas, developing robust policy monitoring and evaluation tools and conducting awareness creation forums to enhance the understanding and implementation of entrepreneurship support policies.
