- Members should ensure their Sacco uses a SASRA listed auditor.
The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) has invited qualified external auditors and audit firms to apply for listing to audit regulated Saccos for the financial year ending December 31, 2027.
The regulator issued the notice under Section 45(b) of the Sacco Societies Act, Cap 490B, Laws of Kenya, and Guidance Note Ref. No. SASRA/GG/2/2022. According to SASRA, listing is required before an audit firm can be approved to audit regulated Saccos.
How to apply
Interested applicants must submit their applications online through the SASRA External Auditor Registration Portal at https://auditors.sasra.go.ke/. The portal supports digital submission and offers real time validation, which SASRA says will speed up processing of applications.

Key deadlines
The submission deadline for applications is November 30, 2026. SASRA will then publish the final list of approved external auditors by January 15, 2027, giving Saccos time to appoint an approved auditor ahead of the new financial year.
In addition, SASRA has urged Sacco members to confirm that their Sacco is audited by a SASRA listed auditor, as part of ongoing efforts to protect members’ funds.
