The Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO), in partnership with the Sacco IT Professionals Association (SITPA), will host the inaugural Sacco ICT Summit 2026 in Mombasa from August 24 to 28, 2026, at PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort.
This summit will bring together Sacco ICT leaders, chief executive officers, system administrators, Sacco board members, and technology innovators to discuss the future of digital transformation in Kenya’s Sacco sector.
A key objective of the summit is the development of a sector-specific framework for technology procurement and ICT talent hiring, aimed at strengthening governance, cybersecurity, and operational standards across Saccos.

Participants are expected to work on standardize vendor vetting procedures, establishing benchmarks for hiring ICT professionals, and developing safeguards to protect Sacco member data.
Together, the KUSCCO and SITPA initiative is expected to play a significant role in advancing Sacco digital transformation, ICT governance, cybersecurity, and technology procurement standards within the cooperative financial sector in Kenya.
