Seed Co Kenya is recruiting a business assistant to handle reception and customer service duties at its offices, with applications open until August 15, 2026.
The business assistant will report directly to the Human Resources Officer. According to the advertisement, the role is responsible for providing professional front office, customer service and administrative support services while ensuring efficient office operations and maintaining a positive corporate image.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers and stakeholders. They will also manage reception services, telephone calls, correspondence and courier services, and respond to customer enquiries, resolving or escalating complaints promptly.
Other duties include maintaining customer service records, preparing periodic reports, and providing administrative support to management and various departments. The role also covers coordinating meetings, travel arrangements and company events, as well as maintaining office records, filing systems and business documentation.

The business assistant will additionally coordinate internal communication and stakeholder engagement, monitor office facilities, liaise with service providers, and ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety and security standards.
Requirements
Seed Co Kenya is seeking candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Customer Service, Public Relations, Communications or a related field. Applicants should have at least two to three years of relevant experience in reception, customer service or office administration, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The company is also looking for candidates with strong organisational and multitasking skills, a high level of integrity and confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
