- NewFortis Sacco sets delegate elections for September 19 to 26
- Candidates must meet savings, shares and membership requirements
- Nomination forms must be returned by September 14
NewFortis Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited will hold delegates elections in all electoral zones between September 19 and 26, 2026, starting at 10.00 a.m.
In a notice dated September 3, 2026, the Sacco outlined the qualifications members must meet to be elected as a delegate.
Eligibility requirements
According to the notice, a candidate must have been a member of the Sacco for the last 48 months. They must also have non-withdrawable deposit contributions of not less than Ksh300,000 above average savings, and a minimum share capital of Ksh20,000.
Other requirements include conforming to minimum qualification standards in accordance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, being a member of good standing up to date in loan repayments and deposits, and channelling salary and other monthly payments through Fosa.

Members interested in contesting have been asked to collect nomination forms from the Sacco’s offices and return them on or before September 14, 2026, at the head office by 4.00 p.m. for clearance.
The Sacco said the election venue would be communicated after vetting, due to other logistics.
Members were also asked to carry their original identity cards and latest payslips.
