Imarika Sacco has set aside Sh350 million for the construction of a modern office complex at the county headquarters in Kilifi town.
Speaking during the Annual Delegates Meeting recently, the society’s Chief Executive Officer Daniel Masha disclosed that construction works is currently ongoing and phase one of the project has already been completed.
Masha also stated that phase two of the project has been started.
The CEO added that in 2017 the society spent Sh3.7 million on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which benefited the local community in the county.
Masha urged members to consider increasing their monthly deposits to enable the society get adequate funds to carry out its undertakings in a more effective way.
On his part, the Sacco’s Chairman Renson Ndoro said the society has grown from strength to strength to be among the leading Saccos in Kilifi County and coast region at large.
Ndoro said currently members were able to get Sacco services online through their mobile phones without travelling long distances.
The Sacco is licensed by Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) to operate Front Office Banking Service (FOSA).
The Sacco rebranded from Kilifi Teachers Sacco to Imarika Sacco in 2014.
