Bingwa Sacco plans to open more branches in its campaign to net more members.
Sacco Chief Executive Officer, Jane Mugoh said plans were underway to open more branches in Nakuru, Machakos and Mombasa to reach out to more members who are badly in need of their products and services.
“Currently, Bingwa Sacco has 18 branches mostly in Kirinyaga County and others in Nairobi and Kiambu counties. Our goal is to open more strategic branches in the country,” she said.
“In the recent past, we were able to diversify our services through opening three new mobile units at Baricho, Kandongu and Githurai, Kiambu County,” she said adding these will be upgraded in future to full branches.
According to the CEO all branches are well inter-linked and connected through improved information and communication technology system for quality services to members.
Ms Mugoh noted that the Kerugoya town- based Bingwa was the first Sacco to operate personalized cheque book system in the country.
