Brookside’s Milk Procurement General Manager, Emmanuel Kabaki, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting dairy farmers through sustainable agricultural programs.
Speaking at Mariene in Central Imenti, Kabaki said the firm’s fodder distribution initiative is designed to help farmers access quality planting materials that will improve feed production and enhance dairy yields.
He noted that Brookside has already distributed over 63,000 fodder cuttings to farmers across Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties.
The move, he explained, is part of a broader plan to ensure a consistent year-round supply of animal feed, a key factor in boosting milk production and ensuring farmers’ profitability even during dry seasons.

“The company remains dedicated to working closely with local farmers to promote climate-resilient and sustainable farming practices. Through partnerships with agricultural experts and extension officers, Brookside aims to equip farmers with the knowledge and resources needed to maximize productivity and maintain the quality of milk supplied to the processor,” noted Kabaki.
He further encouraged farmers to take advantage of the fodder distribution program and other agricultural support initiatives offered by the company.
Kabaki emphasized that improved feed quality directly translates to better milk output and income stability, ultimately contributing to the growth of the dairy sector and rural economies in the region.
