Cooperators from eight countries in Africa and beyond have benefitted from the impactful Financial Coaching Certification Class of May 2025 organized by The African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA).
The ACCOSCA Academy Center of Excellence addressed psychological aspects of financial management, helping members understand and change their financial behaviors as a key ingredient unlocking the full potential of member financial health.
The graduating cohort the 2025 Cooperative Citizens Class of Lusaka – Zambia was empowered with world-class knowledge to ensure their credit union members are not just addressing symptoms but also the underlying behaviors affecting their financial health and prepare for the future.
The Certification Program further empowered the participants with strategies on how to provide personalized guidance and help credit union members navigate their financial health journeys.

George Ombado Executive director, ACCOSCA said the empowerment is invaluable, ensuring members feel supported and capable of making sound financial decisions, fostering trust and strengthening the member-credit union relationship.
Focusing on Africa’s Financial Empowerment is not just a step toward individual empowerment but rather a catalyst for sustainable development and economic resilience for entire communities.
Through the Financial Coaching Certification Program, ACCOSCA is priming the continent’s economy for a new era of vibrant growth and lasting resilience.
ACCOSCA is a Pan-African confederation of national associations of savings and credit cooperatives societies.
