Nyandarua’s Industrialization and Co-operatives Executive Judy Nyambura recently announced plans to revive collapsed cooperative societies in the County.
Speaking in OlKalou recently Nyambura noted that 15 societies had already been revived in the last one year and 30 more were lined up for the same.
Nyandarua has a turnover of more than Sh500 million from 110 cooperative societies in key sectors such as farming, savings and credit, housing and investment.
“We promise to support these Saccos in terms of finance and training and other areas,” said the CEC.
She also urged the youths to form Bodaboda Saccos among others, so they could help themselves grow.
