Farmers in the County have been challenged to grow tea since an analysis done by researchers show the area is suitable for growing the cash crop.
Speaking at Bugar Primary School during an agricultural exhibition aimed at enhancing use of modern technology in Agriculture to boost food security, Elgeyo Marakwet Governor, Alex Tolgos said his government will subsidize the seedlings for farmers to boost food security.
He urged farmers to form Savings and Credit Co-operatives to get loans to venture into business.
