Speaking to Sacco Review from Lamu town recently, Lamu county Cooperative auditor, Mr. Nickson Baya disclosed that the registration exercise of new Saccos in the region will resume immediately the dreaded Covid-19 has been put under control.

Baya urged the county residents to cooperate fully and join the existing Saccos near them and invest heavily.

‘Through saving in Saccos, you can secure bigger loans that will enable you to accomplish your personal development projects,” he noted.

He advised Sacco members in the county to borrow loans wisely and pay promptly so that other members could also benefit from the same loan products.

He further cautioned members against defaulting from their loan payments saying the practice denied other members the chance to access loan products for their development projects.
