Faulu rolls out ATMs and Visa Card

Faulu Microfinance Bank unveiled
Visa Cards and Automated
Teller Machines
(ATMs) in partnership with Interswitch
East Africa.
Customers will now use their
Visa Debit cards to pay for goods
and services and withdraw money
from Faulu ATMs, with the first
20 ATMs having being deployed
across the country with a further
30 ATMs by next year.
Speaking during the roll out
of Faulu Visa Card and ATM network
in Nyeri town recently, Peter
Muthoka, Chairman, Faulu Microfinance
Bank Ltd said: “Our 25th
Anniversary has seen us serve over
2.5 million customers, many of
whom have transformed and grown
financially.”
Interswitch East Africa CEO
Bernard Matthewman noted that
micro and small businesses are the
engine for Kenya’s future growth
and Faulu is well placed to develop
this sector of the market.
“Through this partnership, we
will give Faulu customers more
convenient, secure and reliable
ways to access and spend their
funds. They will have access to
financial services and be able to
transact electronically in ways
which were previously unavailable
to them,” he said.
Faulu Visa card holders can
also use their cards at over 1,000
PesaPoint networks across Kenya.
They will be able to pay for
goods and services at millions of
retailers, fuel stations, restaurants,
online shops and any other merchant
that displays the VISA Card
