Solution Sacco, formerly Meru Mwalimu Sacco has spread its footprint to Kitui County in an ambitious plan to recruit more members and improve on its reserves.
A satellite office has already been opened in Kitui town and plans are underway to open a full-fledged branch in the County if a feasibility study currently underway vindicates its viability.
Sacco Chairman, Peter Karemanu further revealed that the society was on course to open other branches across the country based on that feasibility study in the spirit of reaching out to more members who need their products and services.
The Sacco has blazed the trail by pioneering the installation of its own ATMs just like commercial banks. The Sacco has since rolled out agency banking in an effort to decongest its banking halls.
Karemanu thanked members for participation in the Imarika Na Solution promotion, which raised ShSh300 million, saying this was a worthy investment with each share bought attracting a 15 per cent dividend.
Daniel Marete, Solution Sacco CEO asked members to boost their savings in the Society so as to earn more dividends besides accessing better loans in future.
They made the remarks during the Sacco’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) conducted at Kamunde Hall (Coffee Union Maccu Building) recently.
The Sacco has over 13,000 members who are mostly TSC teachers staff at Housing, Co-operative and Education Ministries, County Government employees, chamas, owners of medium and small sized enterprises and staff at other community-based organizations.
