Stima sacco appoints Gamaliel Hassan as acting CEO

By Staff Reporter

Following the expiry of Mr. Chris Useki’s tenure as the managing director of Stima Sacco, the board has resorted to appointing Mr. Gamaliel Hassan as the acting Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Useki took over the helm of the Sacco in October 2016 as the acting chief executive officer after the resignation of his predecessor Paul Wambua. He was later confirmed by the board in August 2017.

Previously, Hassan worked with the Sacco as chief manager for strategy and business.

Speaking to the journalists, Mr. Hassan said that he assumed the office on July 3rd 2020 after the expiry of Mr. Useki’s term.

As a nerd and perfectionist par excellence, Mr. Hassan will multitask as chief manager, strategy and business as well as Sacco’s acting CEO.

Mr. Hassan is taking over the Sacco’s topmost position at the time the Sacco has seen a financial vertical movement.

In 2019, the Sacco grew its income net by 3.9%. It managed to bag sh. 881.6 million compared to sh. 848.8 million in 2018.
