Tramom Regulated Non-Withdrawable Deposit-Taking (NWDT) Sacco has announced plans to construct Tramom Sacco Plaza, funded through a retention of Ksh3,500 annually from each member’s rebates.

Chairman Samuel Mwamuye said the retention will run for three years starting this financial year, with funds channelled into a capital reserve account up to the 2028 financial year to finance the project.

The announcement was made during the Sacco’s Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) held at a hotel in Mombasa, where Mwamuye addressed delegates on the Sacco’s growth and its future plans.

The plaza plan comes as the Sacco reported total assets rising from Ksh437 million to Ksh518 million in the 2025 financial year, a growth the Sacco says meets regulatory requirements.

Loan disbursements, member deposits and share capital also grew during the period, alongside a board approved dividend of 8 per cent on share capital and 6 per cent interest on non withdrawal deposits.

The Sacco also intends to open a new branch at the Mombasa industrial park to bring services closer to workers in the area, as part of a wider plan to grow its membership base and strengthen its visibility.

It continues to expand its Tramom Wallet platform, which has improved efficiency in loan collections, including diaspora remittance options offered in partnership with the Co-operative Bank to allow members abroad to send funds into their accounts.
