Uasin Gishu County Director for Enterprise Development Isaac Lagat has urged Cooperatives and Saccos to digitalize their services to attract and retain clients.
Lagat noted that digitization and automation of Sacco operations will make it easier for them to improve on efficiency and restore members’ confidence
Speaking during the training of Sacco representatives drawn from across the County, the director noted that embracing technology will attract the youth as members.
He revealed that the county government, through the Department of Trade and Cooperatives, is nurturing a thriving cooperatives ecosystem for a brighter future on matters digitization and automation of their ventures.
“The training sets stage for the capitalization of innovation put forth by the concerted efforts of the department to make a positive impact on the county’s socioeconomic development.” He said.
