African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) in close collaboration with the Africa Co-operative Development Foundation (ACDF) held 2nd International CEOs’ Credit Union Summit in Africa.
The selected global Cooperative business leaders convened in Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia to unpack strategies to foster the growth and development of SACCOs in Africa.
The leaders benefited from candid conversations around member engagement and satisfaction, financial performance and risk management, digital transformation, governance framework of co-operatives, cyber security, compliance and regulatory reporting among others.
The 7 day Summit in Africa attracted selected global participants from Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Kingdom of Eswatini, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, USA, and Ireland.

ACCOSCA Executive Director George Ombado, African Confederation of Cooperative Savings & Credit Associations said the association is leading a transformation journey of cooperatives in the continent to adopt a high standard of excellence through adherence to best governance practices.
ACCOSCA remains steadfast in strengthening cooperatives in Africa through capacity building for credit union leaders to improve their governance and instill a culture of servant leadership.
The association continues to play a pivotal role in Africa as it grows in deepened financial inclusion and socio-economic stability.
