Boresha Sacco has appointed Philemon Chebii as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the retirement of Jacob Mengich who has been holding the office.
Chebii, an insider who has served the Sacco for a solid 24 years, has been picked by the Board of Directors (BoD) as the Chief accounting officer in an interim basis pending the identification of a substantive appointment to the influential docket.
He has been the Head of Business Development and Marketing for many years where he has built the Sacco into an enviable brand in the country.
He rose through the ranks since 2002 when he joined the Sacco as a Member Services Officer, a role he played effectively until when his work caught the eyes of the board who recommended him for the top marketing position at the Sacco.
Other than his immense experience and track record within the cooperative movement, Chebii also comes across as a well-read personality whose credentials will come handy in the running of the Sacco, one of the leading establishments in the industry in the country.

Chebii holds a Masters in Business Administration (Strategic Management), a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing option) and a Diploma in Business Management.
He is also a member of good standing with the reputable Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-K).
