The Kenya Electrical Trades and Allied Workers Union (KETAWU) has warned of major strike next month if the government does not implement a pending Collective Bargaining Agreement , (CBA)

KETAWU secretary general Ernest Nadome said it is sad that the salaries remuneration commission was sitting on the CBA yet affiliate members have so far reported profits in the range of billions of shillings

Speaking at the Tom Mboya labour college after being elected unopposed, Nadome singled out the Kenya power and lighting company which he noted posted a profit of Ksh 34 million.

He said other firms such as KenGen had equally made huge profits.

Nadome blamed the SRC for the stalemate adding that the union was not asking for too much.

The trade unionist warned of a mother of all strikes if the CBA is not honoured fully implemented.

He said sectors such as KPLC, KenGen, RERE, KETRACO and the geothermal development body will all join the strike as from next month, warning that it will no longer be business as usual
